Designed by Team Associated’s AREA 51 engineers, the RC28R delivers professional racing features in a compact footprint, making it perfect for tight indoor tracks and serious mini-scale competition.
Built on a low-center-of-gravity steel chassis plate, the RC28R offers exceptional stability, balance, and handling. Despite its small size, this platform is fully tunable and engineered for racers who demand precision and performance. This version now includes the Radbody Mako X clear body, tires, and white wheels, giving you a race-ready look right out of the box.
Advanced Suspension & Tuning Capability
The RC28R features a fixed-arm front suspension with optional molded upper arms for caster and camber tuning. A torsion-style side link system replaces traditional side springs and includes three stiffness options for dialing in grip and responsiveness.
A threaded aluminum center shock allows adjustments to droop, spring preload, and pitch, while side damper tubes help fine-tune roll control. The adjustable rear pod roll center and included carbon fiber shims make adapting to track conditions fast and precise.
Easy Access & Trackside Adjustability
Designed with racers in mind, the RC28R allows quick battery changes without disturbing the center shock. The front bulkhead enables fast upper arm swaps while maintaining consistent geometry. An adjustable servo mount allows on-the-fly Ackermann tuning, giving you control over steering response as track conditions change.
Race-Ready Design
From the gear differential to the two-piece rear pod, the RC28R is built to be customized. The included white wheels accept optional front wheel flanges to fine-tune steering feel, while both hard plastic and polycarbonate body mount options provide flexibility for different bodies. A universal front bumper adds durability, and the included Radbody Mako X clear body and tires complete the package.
Compact in size but loaded with race-grade features, the RC28R delivers performance that rivals much larger platforms.
